I didn't read the graphic novel before. Holy friggin violence, Batman! Wish someone would have warned me how VIOLENT and GRAPHIC this movie was. It was good, but there were a few parts where I just couldn't watch. And the breaking bones sticking out of skin and gah *shudder* totally hit my squick. And I was with my LITTLE COUSIN watching sex and blue penis (lots and lots and lots of it! *gigglefit* Dude, is that all Billy Crudup *winkwink* or like [livejournal.com profile] xtinethepirate asked, was he "enhanced"?) there on the screen. *giggle* And Jeffery Dean Morgan's character (The Comedian) was such a DICK. I kept going, "JOHN WINCHESTER! Not a good example for Sam and Dean. REALLY." I still love JDM though. *cuddles him* And loooong. We were sitting there for nearly three hours. All in all, worth a viewing, but I doubt I'll ever watch it again. *grin* I had a nightmare about it, but cannot remember anything about it other than I was extremely glad when I woke up. ^^;;

Week...three? Four? Of the Great Constant Headache of 2009 continues. =P Keep hoping that Costco will call me today and say my glasses are ready. I am so sick of waiting. Nothing much else today, other than it's suppose to start snowing all this weekend (has already hailed and done a little snowing, but I can't tell if it's stopped or not right now.) I? Am also sick of snow. Spring nao pls? Or, better yet, JUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNE? Am off to finish weaving in the ends to the Shawl of Doom (finished! ZOMG HEE) and then wash and block it. YAY!

Well, I don't watch tv or read movie reviews, and while I expected violence, I'm a bit squeamish (I refuse to watch horror flicks @ blood and gore) so it was slightly more than I was anticipating. That isn't to say that I was completely ignorant about rating systems and whatnot, but again...not having read the graphic novel, I didn't know what to expect. *shrugs* I actually did LIKE the movie, but it simply hit some of my squicks (I have a horrible fear of broken bones -- I can't watch them being broken on film.)
