Ha! I have been lamenting over my lost Stitch plushie pretty much ever since I moved back home in June. I had him in a very specific place so I could take him with me, and as usual, mom just grabbed and packed, regardless of what I wanted. BUT I FOUND HIM! It only took a few minutes of pushing and moving and cursing. Of course, it was a box at the very top in plain view, instead of the bottom where I was searching, since that seems to be the way most difficult things are. =P Oh well. I FOUND HIM! And he is ready for JUUUUUUUNE, wearing [livejournal.com profile] aoibhe, [livejournal.com profile] secretchristine, and my ohana family tree necklace. I AM SO HAPPY.

Now, am off to be full of knittiness (the moebius scarf is almost done! Mom is excited!), and take pics of some of the dolls that I am probably gonna sell. Dollie girls, nude Celsiy, Chicca, and possibly my obitsu'd Panda and my Haute NY (maybe with her glasses, even) are going up for sale probably on ShopADollic and the Pullips LJ sometime this weekend. I'm iffy on Panda and Haute NY because I really like them, but I have to prune this collection down to the ones I cannot stand to part with (namely Paja, Latte, Jupi, Frara, etc.) Plus, I need monies. *sigh* But Celsiy and Chicca for sure.
[Tarot.com Capricorn Horoscope] Throw away those astrology textbooks that say you Goats don't know how to have fun. Although you are capable of delaying your personal gratification when necessary, you also know when to put pleasure ahead of work. Luckily, this is one of those days when you can set the standard and others might have a hard time keeping up with you. But don't worry about everyone else; for now, just sing and dance as if you have been practicing for this moment all your life.

WOOORD. Damn you astrology, I AM FUN. *giggle* Speaking of fun, am going geochaching in Seattle for the day with C. and her college gang for one of their birthdays. And then off to Buca di Beppos for dinner. Hee!

Just want to note that after having, really, a lackluster week, [livejournal.com profile] aoibhe and [livejournal.com profile] secretchristine perked me up yesterday. Althought I think I'm more homesick than ever. =P And it sucks that it's Sunday, but I think I see sunshine peeking in through my blinds. Just keep on shinin', sun.

Went to craft store today with an increasingly whiney mother (honestly, when did she become a five year old? Can someone tell me this please?) and got more pink yarn, shorter knitting needles for my two scarf projects (10" as opposed to 14" lengths. It's just SO MUCH EASIER to knit when you don't have these huge ass needles to deal with, getting in the way of things like arms. =p Both projects have been successfully transferred to the new knitting needles), and memory wire/memory wire cutters to make beaded headbands for my dolls (okay, so I totally geeked out today. Sue me. =p) I also got phone calls from [livejournal.com profile] secretchristine and [livejournal.com profile] aoibhe. The rest of you, be jealous of my awesomeness. *giggle*

As for the pink yarn, I got it for my pink moebius shoulder bag. Now, I love YouTube. Not only does it bring me random clips of Dean Winchester being hot, and Sam losing his shoe, but it shows me the one knitting technique I was dying to learn, and couldn't for the life of me figure out. Cat Bordhi, you're my hero. *salutes*

Moebius knitting IS SO COOL )

Still headachey. Still upset stomach. Still feeling crappy about...just about everything. =P Thanks to a crappy day at work and an interesting little chat with my manager. And while I can understand where she's coming from, the fact that it came out and I had no clue something was even wrong? That instantly made my head throb and my stomach churn. Guh. There were two things that made this day worth getting out of bed at all, and that was supersilly ficlet from da wifey this morning, and the Package For Mature Audiences Only from [livejournal.com profile] secretchristine and [livejournal.com profile] aoibhe. Frsrs, it made me laugh till I cried. Nice to know the ohana is looking out for my well-being. *gigglefit* I LOVE YOU GIRLS SO MUCH. ♥

But anyway, stolen from both [livejournal.com profile] aoibhe and [livejournal.com profile] xtinethepirate ♥♥♥

One little compliment can make you feel great. So give me a compliment, anything in the entire world, even that my shoelaces are pretty. Put this in your journal. Once you get some comments, put that entry in a memory or tag and when you are feeling down, just go to that entry and this will remind you how great you are.

Comments are screened as per meme "rules". Don't forget to post this in your lj when you're done so I can comment to you!! ♥

I spent the majority of my evening sitting on my kitchen countertop with my "baby" cousin (4 years younger almost to the day - I'm the 23rd of Dec, he's the 25th) and his girl friend (not girlfriend?) talking about, among other various things, 4Chan. For this? *bakes blame!cookies for [livejournal.com profile] isolabela and [livejournal.com profile] aoibhe* ^^;;;; But, I got a Anytime Rock Star Party invite, so there's that. *grin* I WILL RAWK IT.

I filed my taxes too, and AM ACTUALLY GETTING a refund! HELLS YEAH. I didn't expect one, really, since I got the stimulus check last spring. But nope. Am saving it for my June trip, methinks (although, I should totally put it on my credit card bill REALLY. Eh. The ohana is more important than silly bills any day. ♥ )
Horrible, awful freaking Christmas. I AM SO GLAD IT'S OVER. Didn't sleep well that night, and woke up around 5:20am to get a drink of water. Had just settled back into my bed when BOOM. My air filter, and clock went out. I couldn't figure out what seemed wrong until I noticed that there was no noise. I had a fit. Laying in bed. An absolute fit. Mom woke up in the next room and immediately called the power company to let them know. Cut to 6pm, after a day of getting another 8 inches of snow, in a cold, dark house on Christmas effing day. (We're up to two feet now, for those playing along at home.) Then my internet decided to be sluggish and really, I was just so cold and exhausted and miserable, I started to cry. It's a little ridiculous to think about right now, but dude, I was so done by then. These past two weeks have just knocked me on my ass.

But, I took a nice hot shower, used new bath stuffies, and cuddled down with internet, mah wifey, Criminal Minds, and flannel jammies. So while the day sucked, at least the night was good.

AND! I just saw that I was tagged by [livejournal.com profile] vomviersen for the 8 Days of Things That Make You Happy Meme! (Okay, so I'm a little slow and sorta been wallowing in self-pity. I guess this is a good thing to try. =P)

So my things for today:

~ NO SNOW! Yes, I finally woke up and DIDN'T see snow falling from the sky. And, the most beautiful news of all, a new storm is coming in and it's gonna be ALL RAIN. I've never been as happy to hear the word "rain" than I am right now. (I will ignore the ZOMG!FLOODING that will happen after it rains. Still. NOT SNOW.)

~ For the first time in years (I wanna say closer to 20, but it's probably more like 15) my father actually surprised everyone for Christmas. I got $100 in my stocking (half for my birthday, half for Christmas), Nate got $50, and mom got really good seats with my aunt to go see Seven Brides For Seven Brothers in Seattle tomorrow night (she and I wanted to do that for my birthday, but it was too expensive for all the tickets, and then the snow, and it just didn't pan out.) My father and I really don't get along - he doesn't really get along with any of us - so this was shocking in a good way.

~ A hot shower last night that made all my tears go away. Watching Criminal Minds with [livejournal.com profile] aoibhe until late. Having my power and internet back. SO. GLAD.

~ My awful twin, [livejournal.com profile] isolabela, gets to play in the desert with [livejournal.com profile] aoibhe and [livejournal.com profile] secretchristine, and while most people I would begrudge out of pure jealousy, I adore Emily and just wish I could be there too! MAH GIRLIES! LET ME SNUGGLE YOU! *loves* HAVE FUN, DARLING ♥
...getting drunk dialed and watching antics in the midst of Christmas lights on a webcam makes you homesick for a place you've never even lived.

*snuggles ohana*

ps: I CAN HAS PRINT SCREEN? *cackles* =P

Today in the US, it's Thanksgiving. To me, that means loads of good food (and PIE!) and a four day weekend. YAY!

Also? It means that I am reminded to be grateful for the things and people that I have in my life. For the record, I'm grateful every day, but it's always fun to shower those that I love with a little extra sometimes. (Pssst! That means you guys! ^_~)

So here's what we're gonna do: Post a comment here, and I'll tell you why I'm grateful to have you in my life. ♥
