Once upon a time,aoibhe found penis pasta and it became an inside joke for us (this is a theme you should become familiar with, since about four of the six icons you picked have to do with an inside joke with her *giggle*) Due to some douche-baggery on the part of an asshat, we lost touch for some years, and then became super close again a few months ago. I was in my apartment attempting to make dinner, and dropped spaghetti all over my floor. Now, my floor was somewhat less than clean, but it was dried pasta, and I was starving and poor, so I cooked it anyway. I ym'd her with this now famous quote, "I don't know how I feel about floor pasta." Eva, being the brilliant (and sick *grin*) mind that she is, made this icon for in honor of her awesomeness and my inability to not drop things.
DISCWORLD! Pretty much the best book series EVER, by Terry Pratchett. Death ishows up in just about every single book, and HE SPEAKS IN ALL CAPS, and frankly, is one of my very favorite characters. He has a fondness for cats, as do I, and an intense dislike for people who hurt cats, as do I. Upon asked by a dead wizard what was worth living for, he responds after a moment's pause, CATS. CATS ARE NICE. I had to immortalize it.
Ah, my Wren icon. I? Am exceedingly awkward. Socially, physically -- I get tongue-tied and fall down or trip or slip, I drop things constantly. This picture just sorta...fits who I am. (I also own awkward-girl.net.)
This is the Alchemy symbol for Vitriol. Basically, it's sulfuric acid, and one of the most important substances in Alchemy. Also? It looks really cool. *grin*
Berries is really just a code for how awesomeaoibhe and I are. =P It embodies all the fantastic things that we've shared in our friendship, from the highest highs to the lowest lows. I made this for us because she's my best friend and mah wifey! and my family (ohana!) -- absolutely one of the coolest chicks on the planet.
And another inside joke withaoibhe, based on this infamous internet wank. (PS: A "beard" is a spouse who is just a cover, like a gay man marrying a woman to deny that he's truly gay. Yes, we have truly random conversations that result in extremely bizarre icons. =P)
